To re-route, or not to re-route: Impact of real-time re-routing in urban road networks

چکیده

Route planning represents a major challenge with substantial impact on safety, economy, and even climate. An ever-growing urban population caused significant increase in commuting times, therefore, stressing the prominence of efficient real-time route planning. In essence, goal is to compute fastest reach target location realistic environment where traffic conditions are time-evolving. Consequently, large volume data potentially required continuously updated. We thereby address re-routing problem answer questions such as when, how often, worthwhile. base our study real dataset, comprising travel times road segments New York, London, Chicago, collected over three months. By exploiting this we implement an optimal algorithm, able mimic ideal predictions segment speeds network. Thereby, allowing us lower bound travel-time serve reference against other routing techniques. Mainly, quantify achieved gain static, no re-routing, continuous strategies. Surprisingly, find that sufficiently stable for short time windows, vehicle very seldom useful when accurate statistics at departure time. Typically, should only be triggered during rush hours, long routes, passing through well-identified segments.

To Re(label), or Not To Re(label)

One of the most popular uses of crowdsourcing is to provide training data for supervised machine learning algorithms. Since human annotators often make errors, requesters commonly ask multiple workers to label each example. But is this strategy always the most cost effective use of crowdsourced workers? We argue “No” — often classifiers can achieve higher accuracies when trained with noisy “uni...

Autonomous Re-configuration System with Route Stability in Wireless Networks

In multihop wireless networks experience frequent link failure caused by channel interference, dynamic obstacles, and bandwidth demands. Because of this degradation the wireless networks require expensive manual network management recovery. This paper presents an autonomous network reconfiguration system (ARS) using AOMDV protocol and acknowledgement reception .The ARS enables the multi radio, ...

Re nement of Route Preferences for Driving

Generating satisfactory routes for driving requires data about the road network and an individual's relative weighting of available factors. We describe an interactive planning system that generates routes with the help of a driver and reenes its model of the driver's preferences through interaction. Results of a study indicate that it is possible to model drivers through feedback about relativ...

P-121: Which Developmental Stage is Suitable for Re-vitrification? Compact Stage Re-vitrification or Early Blastocyst Stage Re-vitrification

Background: The aim of this study was evaluation of developmental rate and Bax, Bcl-2 and ErbB4 genes expression following re-vitrification in compact and early blastocysts stages. Materials and Methods: 5-8 cell embryos were collected from female mature mice, 60-62 hours post hCG injection. The embryos were divided to five groups including: fresh, vitrified at 5-8 cells, vitrified at blastocys...

Providing scalable NH-diverse iBGP route re-distribution to achieve sub-second switch-over time

The role of BGP inside an AS is to disseminate the routes learned from external peers to all routers of the AS. A straightforward, but not scalable, solution, is to resort to a full-mesh of iBGP sessions between the routers of the domain. Achieving scalability in the number of iBGP sessions is possible by using Route Reflectors (RR). Relying on a sparse iBGP graph using RRs however has a negati...
